    As a Family Practice Provider at Petaluma Health Center, Sean provides family-centered patient care with an emphasis on prevention, wellness, and education. In coordination with other providers, she conducts group visits in support of health-centered education designed to increase patient vitality and well-being. Her interests include nutritional healing and integrative modalities, as an adjunct to allopathic medicine. Sean served for 2 years on the board of the Jewish Community Free Clinic, now located in Santa Rosa. A native Californian, Sean Upton earned a Master’s degree and Family Nurse Practitioner license at Sonoma State University, and is American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) board certified.  She also holds a Master’s degree in Communication Studies from San Diego State University, and enjoyed a career in investigative journalism and educational publishing before realizing her lifelong dream of patient care in a health-centered clinic. Sean enjoys hiking, bicycling, kayaking, dancing, and spending time with her husband, John, and three daughters.
