Sveinn Sigurdsson serves as Chief Administrative Officer and is responsible for the overall administrative management and oversight of the organization. He leads the core administrative functions, including but not limited to: strategic planning and partnerships, organizational and business development, emergency management, data analytics and integrity, corporate compliance, risk management, quality assurance, facilities management, and information technology. Sveinn first joined the Petaluma Health Center in 2018 as the Director of Organizational Performance Optimization. He is driven to continuously improve how healthcare is delivered and ensure equitable access to healthcare for all. Prior to joining PHC, he developed and implemented comprehensive performance improvement programs at Yale-New Haven Health and, most recently, Stanford Health Care.
Sveinn began his study of human health, healthcare systems, and how they can be improved while getting his BA in Psychology and Anthropology at Lawrence University in Appleton, WI. He received a Master’s degree in Anthropology from Arizona State University and a Master’s in Health System’s Management from Rush University in Chicago. He also completed an Administrative Fellowship with Yale-New Haven Hospital. Sveinn is from Grindavik, Iceland. He immigrated to the United States in 2005 and is thrilled to have the opportunity to serve his local community.
