EPIC Electronic Health Record Announcement
Dear Valued Patients,
MyChart is an application that allows you to communicate with your provider, schedule appointments and view lab results!
MYCHART WILL BE AVAILABLE ON 05/02/2023 AT 1PM
In May, we will be switching away from the current Healow Application to MyChart. To activate your MyChart, you will need to give us a call or visit the health center!
- Take care of your children and other family members all from one account
- Set up auto pay for bills
- Send your provider messages for medical advice
- Request a copy of your medical records or other documents
- View a summary of your current health issues, letters, medications, allergies, visit summary, immunizations, and preventative care all in one place
- Request a referral to see a specialist
- And so much more!
Although the Healow Application will no longer work to connect you to your provider, you should still be able to access all historical records after the transition.
As we switch over your electronic health record to the new EPIC system, we will have limited visits available to patients in May. We are only scheduling immediate visits. We expect to continue to schedule immediate visits only through the first two weeks of May. Please call us at the end of May to schedule regular, preventative visits.
The launch of the new EHR will take place on May 2nd. We remain committed to providing you with the highest level of care and expect the system to be fully operational by the end of May. We will continue to keep you informed of any updates and appreciate your cooperation as we work to improve our healthcare services.
Petaluma Health Center is excited to announce the implementation of a new electronic health record!
Dear patients of Petaluma Health Center,
We would like to tell you about an upcoming change that will affect our services and the way we work with our patients. We are transitioning to a new electronic health record system called EPIC.
You will benefit by being able to securely message your provider, schedule appointments, and review test results – all from the convenience of your mobile device or computer. In addition, Health Center staff and providers will have better access to your medical, behavioral health, and dental records, and will be able to communicate better with other health care organization you use, including Providence, Sutter and Kaiser.
While this will ultimately provide our patients with many benefits, we want to make you aware that it may cause longer wait times getting an appointment during the months of April and May.
We understand that this may result in some inconvenience to you, and we apologize in advance for any difficulties this may cause. We kindly ask that you prioritize your visits and contact with the health center during this time, so that we can provide the best service possible to all of our patients.
We want to emphasize that switching to a new electronic health record system will have many benefits. This new integrated system will allow for a more streamlined and efficient approach to patient care and allow us to provide you with even better service in the future.
Thank you for your understanding and patience during this transition period. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us at your convenience.
Sincerely,
Petaluma Health Center
