Business Journal names Best Places to Work for 2013
The Business Journal on Wednesday announced a record 75 recipients for its eighth annual Best Places to Work.
“First, congratulations to all of these organizations,” said Publisher Brad Bollinger. “Each and every company obviously takes being a best place to work very seriously. It showed throughout their nomination, company application and employee surveys.”Started in 2006, Best Places to Work has grown from 24 recipients to 73 in 2012 and 75 this year.The process began with nominations starting in March, an anonymous employee survey period in June and selections by the Business Journal editorial staff in July. Employers were selected according to their employee survey score and other factors such as participation rates and balance of management and nonmanagement responses. The maximum possible employee survey score is 5.More than 6,000 employees completed the required anonymous online satisfaction survey, and thousands of comments were collected in the process. This year’s recipients include several first-time winners and the return of eight companies that have been selected every year since the program began.
