Payment FAQs

Financial Questions

If you have questions about health insurance or need to enroll, please visit our Health Care Reform Information page.

How can I pay for my medical care?

We require all medical services to be paid for at the time of service. We accept credit cards, debit cards, cash and checks.  We also have a payment plan for those who need to pay for services over several months. Patients can set up recurring payments on a balance due by calling our Billing department at (707) 559-7677.

Do I qualify for any financial assistance?

You may qualify for financial assistance based on your income level.   We can determine this at the time of your visit. Petaluma Health Center provides culturally and linguistically competent care to all members of our community regardless of ability to pay.

What is sliding scale?

Sliding scale is a discount program offered to patients who pay out of pocket that is based on their income levels. A patient with a smaller income will pay less than a patient with a larger income. All patients who qualify for this program should apply for Medi-Cal insurance within 90 days of their appointment.

I received a bill and have a question, what do I do?

Please call the Billing Department at (707) 559-7677.

Where can I make a payment?

If you’d like to make a payment, our staff is happy to assist you at the Welcome Desk.  If you need to speak to someone in the billing department, please call (707) 559-7677.  If your billing matters cannot be solved on the phone, you can speak to a representative in person at the Financial Services Office located just down the street from the Main Center:

Petaluma Health Center, Financial Services Office
1455 N. McDowell Blvd, Suite D
Petaluma, CA 94954

Upon entering the building, please ask to speak with a Billing Office representative.
We strongly advise calling the billing department before traveling to their office to make sure someone is available to meet with you. Thanks!
